I am looking for an experienced Registered Manager to work at a great children’s home in Birmingham.  The home provides care and support for children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. 

Duties for this role will include:

• Ensuring that care is delivered against the Children’s Regulations and Quality Standards to meet all of Ofsted’s requirements
• Responsibility for the direct management of the children/young people
• Management of the staff team that support children/young people to ensure that the highest standards of care is in place
• Meeting and promoting the needs of the children/young people
• Taking a lead in the recruitment, maintenance and development of the staffing team

For this role you must have:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years’ experience of supervising and managing staff in a residential child care role (as a Registered Manager)
• Extensive experience of working with children/young people with learning disabilities and complex needs
• A working knowledge of Children’s Regulations, Quality Standards and ECM
• A full UK driving licence and car for work use
