Registered Children’s Home Manager
Newark, Nottinghamshire
Up to £40,000 (plus bonus + on-call)
Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm
My client is a growing provider of residential care homes for children and young people in the East Midlands. They now need an experienced Manager who will be opening a brand new home in the Newark area.
Duties for the role of Registered Manager will include:
- Taking total responsibility for the management of the care and therapy within the Home
- Providing the optimum caring and therapeutic environment for the young people
- Dealing with all referrals and arranging admissions to the home
- Ensuring all standards and legal requirements are being met
To be successful in this role you must possess:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 year’s management experience in a similar setting
- A good working knowledge of the Children Act (1989), Children’s Home Regulations (England) 2015 and the Care Standards Act (2002)
- Proven ability to engage effectively with children and young people
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Effective communication skills including oral, written and body language
- Accurate recording and documenting skills
- UK/EU driving licence
