Registered Children’s Home Manager


Up to £44,500 (including bonus + on-call)

My client is a growing provider of residential care homes for children and young people in the East Midlands. They now need a Manager to run a new home they are opening in the Newark area in late 2020.

Duties for the role of Registered Manager will include:

  • Taking total responsibility for the management of the care and therapy within the Home
  • Providing the optimum caring and therapeutic environment for the young people
  • Dealing with all referrals and arranging admissions to the home
  • Ensuring all standards and legal requirements are being met

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • QCF Level 3 in Children and Young (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 18 months deputy/management experience in a similar setting
  • A good working knowledge of the Children Act (1989), Children’s Home Regulations (England) 2015 and the Care Standards Act (2002)
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with children and young people
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills including oral, written and body language
  • Accurate recording and documenting skills
  • UK/EU driving licence
