Our client is an independent fostering agency dedicated to providing outstanding fostering families for children and young people.  You will work three days a week at home (covering Lewisham) and 2 days a week at the office in Stratford.

 Duties for this exciting role of Supervising Social Worker will include:

• Supporting Foster carers
• Liaising with Local Authority staff in arranging and setting up placements with carers
• Undertaking Form F and parenting assessments
• Undertaking on call duty

Essential criteria for this role are:

• HCPC Registration as a Social Worker
• At least 6 months experience in Fostering (IFA or LA)
• Knowledge of the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services
• Awareness of the government White Paper ‘Care Matters’
• Knowledge of the Childrens’ Act 1989
• The ability to undertake on-call duties (Mon-Fri once every 6 weeks - £100 paid)
