Long-Term Children’s Team

Our client is looking for experienced Social Workers to work in their long-term Children’s team, providing quality social work services to children in need and their families in accordance with legal requirements, departmental policies and procedures. The post is based in a small Local Authority in the East Midlands which is best known for its beautiful countryside, small market towns and friendly people.
The main duties of the Social Worker role will include:
- Working as a member of an integrated service alongside families and carers to ensure that children and young people are able to achieve the outcomes in Every Child Matters
- Providing family support services to children in need of protection and support
- Carrying a caseload of child-care cases
- Preparing assessments, reports plans and reviews for Child in Need, Safeguarding and LAC children
- Working with the National Assessment Framework to plan and review outcomes for children and young people
The successful applicant for the Social Worker post must have:
- DIPSW/BASW/CQSW
- HCPC Registration
- Experience of practical application of social work skills in family support or duty setting
- Working knowledge of child-care legislation (1989 Children Act, 2004 Children and Adoption Acts, Working Together 2013)
- I.T. Literacy
- Mobility and the ability to work from various locations
- Ability to work outside normal office hours if required
- A good attendance record
