They currently have two Senior Nurse roles to enhance their drive for excellence:
Staff Nurse 3
Mentorship and Supervision
In this exciting role you will be:
• Using your extensive experience to take the lead, on your allocated ward, for clinical supervision and mentorship
• Assessing, supporting and guiding junior nursing staff within the competency development programme
• Working closely with the Charge Nurse and Lead Nurse to meet the clinical supervision and mentorship needs of the nursing team
• Identifying initiatives to drive up compliance
Essential criteria for this role are:
• MN or RNLD qualification
• Experience in a supervisory role
• A recognised mentoring certificate
• The ability to assess and teach junior staff
• A proven ability to co-ordinate care, prioritise tasks and manage Health & Safety issues
• A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
• A flexible, positive, team-orientated approach.
Staff Nurse 3
Practice Development
In partnership with the above role you will be:
• Using your extensive experience to take the lead on Practice development for the secure services
• Working closely with the Charge Nurse and Lead Nurse to identify areas for development and actively engaging the staff across the differing levels of secure services to drive these through
• Identifying initiatives to develop new ways of working in line with current evidence and clinical best practice
• Sharing any positive innovation at a regional and corporate level
• Attending clinical governance forums and acting as a direct governance link
Essential criteria for this role are:
• A RMN or RNLD qualification
• Experience in a supervisory role
• A recognised mentoring certificate
• The ability to assess and teach junior staff
• A proven ability to co-ordinate care, prioritise tasks and manage Health & Safety issues
• A flexible, positive, team-orientated approach
