I am currently looking for an experienced Manager to join a great team at a Nursing Home in Halesowen as a Registered Manager. The unit is a specialist care home offering a wide range of personal care and rehabilitation to older people with dementia and alzheimer’s. The home is friendly and a real ‘home from home’, making it an ideal place in which to spend a relaxing retirement.
The team has a progressive attitude towards encouraging an active and independent lifestyle, enabling people with care needs to pursue personal interests and take part of exercise classes and outings for mental and physical advantages.
In this post you will be:
- Managing the home to ensure residents live their best life
- Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver excellent standards of person centred care
- Developing and implementing evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes
- Taking responsibility for Health and Safety within the home
For this role you will need:
- A nursing qualification with an active RCN Pin
- Experience in a similar role
- A good working knowledge of CQC standards, NMC guidelines and the Health and Social Act 2008
- Demonstrable experience supporting elderly service users, especially those with dementia
- Familiarity in areas concerning sickness management, staff training and development, and coaching and mentoring
- Experience of managing a staff team
