Support Worker - Young Person's Service

£18,868 - £20,315 (£9.78 - £10.53 per hour)

I am looking for Support Workers to work with young people in a service which supports tenants to build their skills, confidence and independence, along with helping them to access permanent accommodation, education, employment and training.

In this post you will be:

• Helping with tenancy maintenance such as cleaning or budgeting
• Managing behaviours that challenge
• Following and reviewing support plans
• Maintaining records through IT systems or paper records
• Supporting practical activities such as shopping
• Supporting and encouraging activities such as football, sports and social activities

For this fabulous role you will need:

• Experience of working with young people
• An understanding of the needs of people from diverse backgrounds
• An understanding of the impact of childhood trauma
• The ability to manage challenging behaviours
• Flexibility - working on a rota basis means you will need to be flexible over a 7 day rota. The service operates 24/7, however day shifts are either 08:00 - 15:30 or 14:30 - 22:00.   Night shifts are 21.45 - 07.00
