Operations Manager – Children’s Residential Care

East Midlands

£47,000 p.a + generous commission/bonus scheme + company car 

I am looking for an Operations Manager to join a growing provider of residential care services for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The company have homes across the East Midlands, with new Homes due to open in 2021, and ambitious growth plans for the future. 

This role will include: 

• Focussing on improving care practise, safeguarding outcomes, and care staff competency
• Raising awareness of Children's Home Regulations 2015 and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF)
• Significant communication with external agencies, such as Ofsted and Local Authorities
• Internal communication to provide line management, strategic leadership and direction to staff
• Acting as the Ofsted Responsible Individual for the organisation

For this fabulous role you must have: 

• Experience as a Children's Home Registered Manager for over three years, with a minimum of 5 years Children's residential social care experience
• A minimum of one Ofsted "Outstanding" Rating at full inspection as a Children's Homes Manager
• A Level 5 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or a Health & Social Care Degree) (or equivalent)
• Experience of developing caregiving staff to the position of Registered Managers, and providing mentoring support to Homes Managers
• The ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to use Word and Excel
• The ability to develop positive long term partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
