Referral and Placements Officer

Nottingham (some remote home working)

£24,000 + commission and bonus scheme

I am looking for a Referral and Placements Office to work with a provider of residential care services for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties aged 8-17.

In this role you will required to:

  • Screen incoming child referrals and identify positive matches to residential homes
  • Work directly with the operations team to secure appropriate referrals into the service
  • Build up relationships with Local Authorities and other professionals to facilitate positive placements

For this exciting new role you must have:

  • Extensive experience of working in Children’s residential social care
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or a Health & Social Care Degree.  You must be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong IT skills, in particular using, creating and managing documents in Word and Excel
  • Ability to collate and assess complex and detailed information, received from a number of stakeholders
  • A high level of organisation, working flexibly to prioritise and balance competing timescales
  • A commitment to Safeguarding
