Our client provides specialist therapeutic care and education to young people young people aged between 10 and 18 who, due to previous trauma and/or neglect, have a range of complex needs. This post is a new post created to support the units they have in the Cheshire area.
Duties will include:
- To manage a children's home
- To provide professional support, guidance, mentoring and supervision to other Home Managers within the Locality under the direction of the Operations Director
- Ensure that the company vision, values, policies and ethos are promoted and adhered to
- To identify, report and manage current and emergent risks within the Locality, including those that may impinge upon safeguarding and statutory compliance or inspection rating.
- Ensure effective working relationships with all relevant Local Authority staff and social workers, and with all other relevant statutory agencies
- To ensure the base home provides and maintains the highest levels of therapeutic care and service in accordance with the legislative framework, company procedures, ethos and policy
- To ensure the safety of all children and staff, and that safeguarding practice, procedures and recording meet all regulatory requirements and professional expectations
- To manage effectively and efficiently all allocated resources of the home, both human and financial
- To ensure continual quality improvement to achieve and maintain an Ofsted rating of Good or Outstanding
For this exciting new post you must have:
- Diploma Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
- A proven track record in the management of social care (Inspection Ratings)
- A full manual driving licence
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
- An understanding of how working in a challenging environment affects you and the other managers in your locality
- The ability to be an active manager who is able to recognise the future needs of their home, the staff and the young people.
