Registered Children’s Home Manager

Up to £44,500 (including bonus + on-call)

Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm

My client is a growing provider of residential care homes for children and young people in the East Midlands. They now need an experienced Manager to run a new home they are opening in Derby.

Duties for the role of Registered Manager will include:

• Taking total responsibility for the management of the care and therapy within the Home
• Providing the optimum caring and therapeutic environment for the young people
• Dealing with all referrals and arranging admissions to the home
• Ensuring all standards and legal requirements are being met

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
• A minimum of 2 year’s management experience in a similar setting
• A good working knowledge of the Children Act (1989), Children’s Home Regulations (England) 2015 and the Care Standards Act (2002)
• Proven ability to engage effectively with children and young people
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Effective communication skills including oral, written and body language
• Accurate recording and documenting skills
• UK/EU driving licence
