Senior Carer
£9.73 - £10.26 per hour
37.5 hrs per week
My client is a local charity who need a senior member of staff to work in their exceptional service in rural Northamptonshire and Central Northampton. This role will supervise a team working with adults with learning disabilities, autism and dementia in supported living and a residential care home based in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, where growing veg and caring for small animals is part of your working day.
Duties for this post will include:
- Working as part of the Team to provide a caring and stimulating environment within which each individual is able to fulfil their own potential
- Ensuring that the care team are well lead, directed, managed and supported
- Coordinating staffing and resources in order to provide a high standard of personalised care in line with CQC Essential Standards
- Following instructions and adhere to care plans and organisational policies in order to provide a high standard of personalised care
- Working with tenants and residents in their own homes with all aspects of everyday tasks and leisure activities
For this role you will need to have:
- QCF Diploma Level 3 in Care (or equivalent)
- Experience in supervising staff in a care/support environment
- Extensive experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
- A full UK driving licence as travel will be required between various locations
- The ability to work on a rota basis - a structured rota will be followed but some flexibility will be needed to meet the needs of the individuals. Weekend working and the occasional 'sleep-in' may be required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
