CLINICAL SERVICE MANAGER

I am looking for an experienced Nurse to join a friendly care home in Wellingborough. The home provides general care as well as specialist care for those with dementia or physical disability, as well as nursing care.  The home offers a wide choice of activities and entertainment, including trips out and in-house activities, to allow all residents to pursue their hobbies, and maybe even find new ones!

Duties for this role will include:

• Assuming overall responsibility for all clinical issues within the Care Home
• Assisting in the overall management of the Care Home promoting a homely, safe environment with a focus on quality care provision
• Ensuring care practices are reflective of the requirements of the statutory bodies and the latest research, and that such practices are reviewed and developed regularly, in order to ensure best practice
• Ensuring a system is in place that promotes residents’ participation in the planning and reviewing of care
• Maintaining an efficient system for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care
• Providing advice to the Care Home Manager in respect of the clinical needs of the Care Home in recruitment and selection of staff
• Ensuring the safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC guidelines and the home’s policies and procedures

For this role you must have:

• Registered nurse status with a current NMC Pin
• Experience in caring for older people, dementia and physical disabilities
• Knowledge and understanding of CQC requirements
• A desire to improve the services provided in the home
• Knowledge and experience of working in the independent sector
