NURSE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

WEST SUSSEX

Up to £38k + car allowance

I am recruiting for a national provider of care and nursing homes, who have an excellent reputation for developing and supporting their staff. I am looking for a Nurse Development Manager to cover the West Sussex area (some national travel may be required) to help my client nurture their Nurses to develop their clinical practice and expertise to ensure the best possible outcomes for our Service Users.

Duties will include:

• Leading on the implementation of a robust Clinical Supervision process across the company
• Assisting the Director of Nursing with the development of clinical policies and procedures
• Delivering clinical supervision and the preceptorship programme
• Supporting Service Managers to implement the Preceptorship Programme
• Engaging in the recruitment process of Nurses (by attending local and national recruitment events)
• Supporting all Nursing Services by giving expert clinical advice
• Contributing to the delivery of training and preparation of Overseas Nurses under guidance of the Nurse Educator
• Developing innovative methods of supporting and networking with residential homes

For this role you must have:

• NMC registration as a Nurse
• Two years recent Clinical Experience
• Up to date knowledge of Clinical Nursing Procedures
• An understanding of the challenges that a care home nurse faces  
• The ability to travel flexibly
