Registered Manager

Salary £32k-£38k
Plus 15% SMART objectives based bonus paid quarterly, CQC incentive bonus, share scheme
I am looking for an experienced Registered Manager to manage a residential care home for older people near Gainsborough, which has is currently being refurbished, with further refurbishment planned.
The home is rated ‘Good’ by the CQC and has a friendly, reliable team in place. The home is part of a privately owned group, which currently operates five care homes for the elderly and has significant expansion plans for the future. Their mission is to provide care of the highest quality, giving comfort and friendship within a homely atmosphere while respecting and being sensitive to the individual needs, wishes and choices of residents.
This role will include:
- Managing all aspects of the day to day running of the care home
- Ensuring all aspects of the management of the home meet the highest Care Standards as defined by CQC, the local PCT, the Local Authority and the provider
- Registering as a Manager with the CQC
- Ensuring the home’s financial viability without sacrificing the above
- Monitoring income and expenditure
- Increasing occupancy and ensuring levels are maintained
For this role you must have:
- Experience of managing a care home or a unit within a large care home
- A relevant Professional qualification (e.g. Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3 or equivalent)
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a residential/nursing home setting of which at least one year must be with people living with dementia
- Awareness of the principles of Person Centred Care Planning
- A Full Driving Licence
- Have experience of managing staff
- Knowledge of National Care Standards Act 2000
- Good time management
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility with working hours
- Good written and oral communication skills
