Senior Residential Worker

£9 per hour (rising to £9.75 after 6 month probation period)

Our client is a small provider of residential care homes for children and young people throughout the Midlands. They use therapeutic and behaviour modification techniques, also focussing on teaching skills that will equip the young people to live a happy, healthy and independent life. They are now looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join the team.

Duties for the role of Senior Residential Support Worker will include:

• Supporting and assisting the Home Manager
• Offering a comprehensive service to children and young people
• Ensuring physical, social and emotional care and development of the young residents
• Providing a safe, warm and supportive environment for young residents
• Maintaining the development of positive childcare practice
• Maintaining case file records
• Assisting with the induction of new staff
• Undertaking a “key worker” role with young people as required

To be successful in this exciting new role you must be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• A good general standard of education
• Willingness to working towards achieving Diploma 3 or Diploma 5 in health and Social Care
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A full valid manual driving licence
• Proven experience of working to a consistently high standard
• The ability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
