CHILDREN’S LOCALITY MANAGER BEDFORDSHIRE £40k

Our client provides specialist therapeutic care and education to young people young people aged between 10 and 18 who, due to previous trauma and/or neglect, have a range of complex needs.

Due to continued expansion they are looking for a Locality Manager to oversee their children’s homes.

Duties will include:

• Providing professional support, guidance and supervision to other Home Managers
• Identifying, reporting and managing current and emergent risks, including those that may impinge upon safeguarding and statutory compliance or inspection rating.
• Ensuring effective working relationships with all relevant Local Authority staff and social workers, and with all other relevant statutory agencies, e.g. police, child protection and CAMHS
• Ensuring the safety of all children and staff

Essential criteria for this role are:

• Diploma Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
• A proven track record in the management of social care (Inspection Ratings)
• Experience of working in a residential children’s setting
• A full manual driving licence
• The ability to work independently, lead a staff team and managers and work cohesively
• Excellent communication and active listening skills, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
