£8.01 PER HOUR (PLUS UNSOCIAL HOURS ENHANCEMENTS)

 

A client is a well-established care home based in Northampton. They are very well-regarded and have a long history of providing care and support to vulnerable older people. They currently need a Senior Carer to join their friendly team.

 

Duties for this role will include:

  • Taking responsibility shifts, including making decisions, seeking advice or support when necessary
  • Reporting any areas for concerns in regard to residents, staff or the Home environment
  • Ensuring the effective running of the Home on a day to day basis including the maintenance and development of the work plan and Off Duty Rota
  • Have a good working knowledge and set a leading example in the procedures relating to Health and safety, moving and handling and infection control
  • Liaising with outside agencies e.g. Doctors, District nurses, Paramedics
  • Acting as a role model of high quality care practice
  • Conducting training sessions for staff

To be successful in the role of Senior Care you must be able to demonstrate:

 

  • NVQ 3 in Care
  • Medication Administration Training
  • The ability to communicate on all levels
  • A caring, sympathetic nature
  • The ability to work in a team
  • A sound knowledge of CQC standards
  • Availability to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis

You will be required to:

  • Complete an Enhanced DBS application, unless you have joined the update service
  • Provide references covering the last 5 years - 2 of these must be from a care referee
