We are currently looking for several experienced Social Workers to work in a statutory setting in Leicestershire.  You will be working with children in need and must have the following:

• Social Work Qualification
• Driving License
• GSCC Registration
• A minimum of 3 years Post qualified experience within Child Care Work (preferably in a statutory setting)
• Evidence that applicant has managed complex/difficult Child protection work & initiating proceedings
• Able to write complex court reports/statements as well as giving evidence.
• A high standard of written & oral presentation skills required
• Experienced cross examination in FPC or County Court
• An strong understanding/experience of working in a multi-ethnic/multi cultural community
• Ability to work an IT system such as Care 1st.
• A strong understanding of legislation (i.e. 1989 Children Act, Assessment Framework, Every child Matters)
